    本文是通過反駁上一段中給出的理由來完成的,這樣可以使自己的觀點比較有說服力。

    P4 總結前文,盡量做到簡潔,概括性強,同時避免重復用詞。

    There is a heated debate for a long time about how worthwhile it is for children to learn history at school. As far as I am concerned, history is as important as any other subjects and learning what happened in the past is beneficial in various aspects.

    As for those who are opposed to the idea that learning history is necessary for children, they may argue that history is just stories happening during previous times and thus has nothing to do with our lives nowadays. Compared to others subjects such as mathematics and physics, which are really applicable and can directly help to solve problems in daily lives, history seems somewhat useless. Moreover, it is really time-consuming to learn awkward history knowledge, since students have to spend lots of time remembering irregular timelines and events.

    The opinion above is in fact short-sighted, however, for history is never only boring stories. Learning about the origin and development of a certain country can cultivate children’s sense of belonging and pride, which in turn contributes to the country’s peaceful and harmonious atmosphere in the future. To be specific, the children would feel proud when they are informed of the country’s ancient prosperity and be more willing to make contributions when they grow up. In addition, although it is traditional for students to learn history by directly remembering lots of issues, the learning method can be easily shifted by teachers and education departments, whose responsibility is to make the studying procedure easier and more efficient.

    In conclusion, it is somewhat understandable for people to regard history as a subject less relevant to our daily lives, but their plausible arguments are limited and the problems they point out can be solved. At the same time, the significance of history as a subject should never be ignored and students should make as much effort to learn it as other subjects.
